“Who Get’s Grandma’s Pie Plate?”

Being in our homes over COVID has taught us all that we have too much stuff!  But who decides who gets what? “Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate?” is a guide to passing on personal possessions.  The Generations Fundraising Committee will sponsor Geri Heppe, MS Gerontologist, to discuss the emotional family aspects of transferring our “treasures.” Ryan Long, Elder Law Attorney, will present the legal aspects of division of property in Wisconsin. How do you do an Estate Plan, what happens if no will or trust exists, and what are the options for dispersal of valuables and possessions? This presentation is imperative for anyone of any age because we never know what the future holds! Having a solid plan protects our estates and can foster peace of mind, knowing that final wishes will be respected.

Please join us at the Minocqua Public Library on October 1 between 10:30AM and12:30PM. Following the presentation, please stay for pie, coffee, and the chance to buy fresh pies to take home to share. Feel free to bring a donated pie no later than 10AM to be sold to help us build Generations: a Community Gathering Place. Any questions can be directed to Ana at Generations at 715-356-9118.
